I managed to work around this by: 1. Selecting Swedish as my preferred language on the GDM login screen. 2. Removing my LANG=swedish line from ~/.bash_profile
Now my locale is sv_SE.UTF-8, and I'm not having any locale problems any more. I suspect that /etc/locale.alias should have an alias saying: swedish sv_SE.UTF-8 Locales 2.7.9-4 talks about sv_SE.ISO-8859-1 in that file, which I think is wrong. -- crash command-not-found after switching locale https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/212552 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
