Hi steve (as well as the subscribers from the duplicate bug), Care to test the Intrepid Ibex 8.10 kernel which is currently being developed and available at the following PPA (personal package archive):
https://edge.launchpad.net/~kernel-ppa/+archive The Intrepid kernel was most recently sync'd with the upstream 2.6.25 kernel. Comments from the duplicate bug 196730 mentioned some patches which appear to have been pulled in upstream and thus available in the Intrepid kernel. If you are not familiar with how to install packages from a PPA basically do the following: Add the following two lines to /etc/apt/sources.list deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/kernel-ppa/ubuntu hardy main deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/kernel-ppa/ubuntu hardy main sudo apt-get update Then you should be able to install the linux-image-2.6.25 kernel package.
