This sucks that this "bug" has not been updated as of yet. You would think this would be top priority. I'll exclude additional reasonings to avoid being redundant but it should appear as though this would be a necessity not a want or wish list. I really would like to see the growth of ubuntu but this won't happen by restricting/removing tools needed to properly configure ill configs.
