This is a serious problem. I have 6 compaq laptops and a sony vaio PC both with the same problem the CDRW/DVDrom drive will not mount video or data DVDs that were even burnt with the *same drive* in Gutsy. I plug the drive into a gutsy PC and they work perfectly fine. When I click on the drive after inserting the DVD I get
