This was a bug in gutsy as well---if I remember correctly, a fix was supposedly committed, but apparently it didn't fix it for all of us because I'm STILL having this problem.
I have a Dell Inspiron 1420n. I haven't noticed any correlation between when I resume my computer after standby and weather the problem occurs, but I can say with confidence that it's happening more frequently with Hardy than it did with Gutsy. For me it seems to occur once or twice a day and I'd say I resume my laptop from suspend about 6-10 times a day, so it happens at the least, 1/10 times. I get no keyboard or mouse response, but can close my laptop lid to suspend it again and upon a second resume, the keyboard and mouse work fine. /var/log/messages for the last week or so is attached. ** Attachment added: "/var/log/messages" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/14074045/system%20log%20-%20messages ** Changed in: linux-source-2.6.20 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- No keyboard after FAST suspend-resume cycle https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/144487 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
