Ignore the last comment, it was caused by having installed it from source and then uninstalled it in /usr/local before installing the ubuntu package. (essentially the gtk icon cache in /usr/local/ didn't get updated after removal, so gtk still thought there were agave icons in /usr/local/... even though they were deleted)
