I can confirm this bug, whether I use Dolphin or if I use konqueror I have the same problem (steps listed below). I installed konqueror 3.5.9 using adept package manager, and when I go to networking using that, it works perfectly and I see our network.
1. Open dolphin 2. Select Network from left hand side shortcuts 3. Select Samba-shares 4. Problem = "could not connect to host for smb://smb-network/ or 1. Open konqueror 2. Select Network folders 3.
