This crash is completely reproducible on my Machine. I just start firefox and type in the URL ubuntuguide Then the whole X crashes.
I tried created a new profile for Firefox without all the plugins and it seems to crash with it as well. So i assume it is not a problem in a plugin. flash: flashplugin-nonfree 9.0.124.0ubuntu2 Java: java-common 0.28ubuntu3 There is no crash report in /var/crash. I tried to follow the instructions you gave me but there is no dbg package for firefox3.
