Hell-o board...newbie to Linux...used Ubuntu Gutsy for the last week with no problems. Downloaded ubuntustudio .iso and the fun has begun...
Over the last two days I have re-installed it twice trying to find out the issue with the nvidia-glx-new. It's obvious to me that the new file has some serious issues. It only happens on Ubuntustudio...I reinstalled Gutsy and the desktop enhancements worked just fine. I get the same problem as has been reported: black screen after updating driver. I have to revert customization to get back in. I tried reverting to nvidia-glx (not -new) but won't let me use desktop enhancements without the new driver. I'm using nvidia nforce 650i SLI.
