Public bug reported:

For gstreamer0.8, there is a meta-package called gstreamer0.8-plugins.
This "package will ensure that all GStreamer plugins are installed".
This is missing in gstreamer0.10.

Also, there should be a meta-package that will install all plugins
regardless of the version of gstreamer currently running.

It should be created in the same way as with the linux kernel, where
there are two levels of metapackages.

EXAMPLE (using kernel; mp=metapackage):
linux-386 (mp) : installs newest linux-image-386 (mp).
linux-image-386 (mp) : installs newest 386 kernel package

EXAMPLE (using gstreamer : assuming newest is 0.10):
gstreamer-plugins (mp) : installs gstreamer0.10-plugins (mp)
gstreamer0.10-plugins (mp) : installs all 0.10 plugins

When gstreamer0.12 is out, gstreamer-plugins would install
gstreamer0.12-plugins, etc.

** Affects: gstreamer (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
