Public bug reported: I'm using a brand new installation of Hardy. The default Gnome Volume Control Applet preferences didn't work: it was set to Realtek ALC660 (OSS Mixer) but there were no real control over sound volume. So I changed preferences and I put "Playback: ALSA PCM on front:0" instead of Realtek ALC660 and now I can control the sound volume of the system. But now I have two issues:
- each time I reboot the sound volume is resetted to max volume - I can control the sound volume of the OS through the applet, but it has no control over audio coming from webpages (like a YouTube video) I suppose that all this issues are coming from the new PulseAudio, cause I haven't anyone of them under Gutsy. I'm using an Asus PRO31Jm notebook. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- No control over sound volume https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/222989 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
