I have a hp compaq with the same wifi card (4311) and even teh restricted drivers dont work. I tried several fixes and patches, but it didnt work I am running 7.10 atm, I know that 8.04 is out, but there are even less fixes for that at the moment, and the wifi card doesnt seem to work on there either).
