I was to able to reproduce this on my X700 card with open-source
drivers. So it has nothing to do with "restricted modules". It can be in
the pango and cairo libraries or the underlying Xorg libraries
(libXdamage, libXcomposite, etc). Or the way openoffice is using those
libraries.
