Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

Since upgrading to Ubuntu 8.04 I no longer get warnings when my laptop
battery is running low. The power applet reports the correct state
(charging|discharging) and the correct charge percentage, but the
warnings and shutdown|suspend|hibernate don't get triggered. I have
round that /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/alarm says "alarm: unsupported" so
this may not be a problem specifically with gnome-power-manager? What
information will help debug this problem? This was not a problem with
Ubuntu 7.10. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jon
