Hi, same problem here that tackerd used up all memory: --- snip top output --- Swap: 1951736k total, 705280k used, 1246456k free, 40496k cached
PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND 8361 abre 39 19 2258m 2.0g 1544 S 15 82.7 661:42.22 trackerd --- snap top output --- In addition it seems to have decided to fill my home directory with its cache. So I've delete its cache now and killed trackerd but I'll see what happens on the next login/reboot. In addition I have to say that I'd prefer that tools like that would: a) notify me what they are doing when run the first time (as there might be privacy reasons not to use the default settings) so that I can decide what should be indexed b) run in the background without impacting normal use. meaning that they don't use all cpu/memory/diskspace but back off (and preferably show a warning why) . -- trackerd uses up all available memory https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/214219 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
