I upgraded 7.10 to 8.04 today (23-04-2008). sudo was borked due to "unable to resolve host". I removed "127.0.1.1 montreal.ubuntu.com ubuntu" from /etc/hosts file in recovery mode. BAM! It worked perfectly.
