More observations: Earlier today, I found out that checking "Press Right Alt key to choose 3rd level" (which is not l10ned to German, by the way!) in the keyboard layout settings did actually activate the AltGr keys for me. (äåéëþü for qwerty while pressing Right Alt) So I thought, I got it, but:
Now, after rebooting, it did not work, again... so I went to the keyboard dialog > layout settings again and *removed* the "Press right Alt key to choose 3rd level" check mark again. Which made keys work again. Therefore, I guess that committing those settings, no matter how they are changed, activates something (making AltGr work) that should be activated on boot. -- dead keys broken in hardy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/200813 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
