Same problem. Sorry about the duplicate reporting, here is my description: Automount fails to pop-up the media on the desktop when I insert a card reader or an external HD in the USB. the device appears in media:/ but when I click on the icon I get the message: "An unknown error occured"
I have an external 20 GiB drive and it behaves the same. My camera Canon SD500 is automounted ok and appears in camera:/ as well as on the desktop.
