Yes, if it was just the home directory, that would be a possibility. But
I also encrypt a partition that daemons (e.g., Apache) need, so it's not
really practical to postpone it all to login time.

With respect, it seems to me that even if cryptdisk is in Universe, this
is a pretty substantial regression.

If upstart really can't be tuned to support this, I'd be hard pressed to
support upstart (not that anyone's really going to make any decisions
based on what I would support, of course).
