To install you need to create these directories : mkdir /target mkdir /target/var mkdir /target/var/cache mkdir /target/var/cache/debconf
and then : cp /var/cache/debconf/*.* /target/var/cache/debconf/*.* Maybe you'll have to "sudo" to create the directories and copy the files. Ex : sudo mkdir /target To correct the bug : I think the "target" directory is a "variable" (don't know if it's the right word) that is undefined. The correct path is /var/cache/debconf but Ubiquity is looking in /target/var/cache/debconf. Where is the conf file to correct that ? ** Summary changed: - Fails to install (6.10 beta on an Acer Aspire 5601AWLMi Laptop) + Fails to install (6.10 beta live) Ubiquity 2nd step ** Tags added: ubiquity -- Fails to install (6.10 beta live) Ubiquity 2nd step https://launchpad.net/bugs/63328 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
