Some comments on the referenced commit: 1) It addresses regressions from previous, supported Ubuntu releases identified above. Non-Free Flash will work, using dmix, with the first audio device. PulseAudio is configured to use dmix on this first audio device, too. 2) Migrating Flash streams using PulseAudio will require a user-invoked, subsequent installs of libflashsupport and pacmd/pavucontrol from the universe component. 3) We retain the use of hal-aware hot(un)plug for additional devices.
