Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox-3.0
Bug found in Firefox 3 Beta 5 ---------------------------- Current behavior: Currently if I click the 'browse' button of a HTML file input element, the dialog box will open, but while the dialog is open, popup windows are no longer blocked, despite it previously blocking the popups. To recreate this bug, open a web page which attempts to open a popup every time the page is loaded, but is blocked successfully. Set this page to reload every x seconds/minutes via the reloadEvery extension to simulate a page loading in the background while you work in another tab. Now open another tab and navigate to a site with an upload form (such as launchpad), and click browse. Leave the dialog window open, and wait for the previous tab to reload. The popup will now display whereas it was previously blocked from opening. This has not been tested with any other dialogs, but I assume it would be the same behavior. ---------------------------- Expected behavior: Popups do not bypass the blocker when a modal dialog is open. ** Affects: firefox-3.0 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Firefox popup blocker fails when file dialog open https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/219887 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
