Using - [Gutsy] Package Version - [ivman 0.6.14-2ubuntu1] The version included in Gutsy does not include support for condition values These are used by modern laptops instead of separate conditions for each different media button the often have one condition with multiple values. There is a patch available here: http://pasat.ocean.univ.gda.pl/~mgorny/patche/ivman-0.6.14-conditionValue.diff as discussed here: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=407089 I have applied the patch and now I can use my media keys without gnome (or another DE).
