In Bug Report #216159 I reported that kernels -15 and -16 were unhappy with my E2160 [A] rig and its Zarlink MT352 PCI tuner card whilst -12 was happier and Ubuntu 7.10 was perfectly happy with the card. Now Ubuntu 8.04 Release candidate won't even install on that rig. In Bug Report #25931 Ripps818 suggests it's all down to TV modules having been removed from (or altered in) the new kernels.
So, I'm going to see if Ubuntu 8.04 Release Candidate will install on my 3.0GHz Northwood [C] rig, with and without its USB tuner module connected, before going on to check it on a 'work in progress' E4600 rig which has no tuner (yet). My health not being perfect, it'll take a while, but I'll report back ! -- Linux Kernel 2.6.24-12-generic - Best For Hardy ? https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/217726 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
