OK I do have my network cable in and have not tried with it romoved. I will also try the latest daily build. What is the most recent edition of Ubuntu Studio .I did not want to go the path of messing with the windows boot manager I wanted this to be all handled by linux. By the way Thanks so much for the prompt reply and advice. I think this what is actually meant by open source and support. Regards.
