Public bug reported:
The install/live DVD is a wonderful resource. Looking at
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/dvd/20080417/ (you may have to change the date
part) it appears that there is a *lot* of unused space on the DVD!
Approximately 700 MiB of space is available.
It would be great if this space was filled up with more software. I will
not speculate on what software should be included (from
main/universe/multiverse/etc.). This decision can be reached by voting
or whatever system the release managers choose.
Please note that including these additional packages onto the DVD will
_not_ automatically install them by default.
