Public bug reported: Hi,
since I upgraded my kubuntu from gutsy to hardy, the sound system behaves a bit strange. First for information: Board: ASUS A7N8X Deluxe 2.0 with nforce2 Sound: onboard TV-CARD: Haupaugge WinTV PCI with line-out connected to line-in of the sound-card The situation is that whenever I stop artsd or it goes into suspend-mode due to the -s flag, I hear a quite loud background noise coming out of the speakers. It sounds like if I had turned the volume of the amplifier to maximum, very nasty... When artsd is running, sound is ok. The TV-Card connected to line-in is only part of the problem, if I unplug it, the noise becomes a little bit less loud, but still much louder than with artsd running. I never had such problems with feisty or gutsy or debian-stable...
