If I have time, I'll try file a bug on the bugzilla tomorrow ( http://bugzilla.gnome.org/simple-bug-guide.cgi?product=gnome-themes-extras ). I'd appreciate it if anyone w/ a gnome account would file the bug for me ;-).
Side Note: For time's sake I suggest we edit the package to -> ubuntu2 and send the proposed fix to upstream afterwards.
