Same Problem here. Just updated to Hardy. And the Wireless (with iwl3945) is some kind of unusable. nm-applet won't find any networks. If I set my network manually it's working, but sometimes I get only a 1 Mb/s, no Broadcast- and Gatewayaddress.
Just tried to rmmod/modprobe the modules like in Bug #205506 still no change. dmesg gives me (boot and then turn the Wireless kill switch on): [ 31.360867] iwl3945: Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG/BG Network Connection driver for Linux, 1.2.0 [ 31.360870] iwl3945: Copyright(c) 2003-2007 Intel Corporation [ 31.361032] iwl3945: Detected Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection [ 32.211817] iwl3945: Tunable channels: 13 802.11bg, 23 802.11a channels [ 32.212344] wmaster0: Selected rate control algorithm 'iwl-3945-rs' [ 32.410080] udev: renamed network interface wlan0 to eth1 [ 63.108784] iwl3945: Radio Frequency Kill Switch is On: [ 63.108789] Kill switch must be turned off for wireless networking to work.
