This bug is fixed in Hardy Heron which uses gphoto2 version 2.4.0-1 and
which I've tested using a memory card with 1027 files. See below:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/tmp$ gphoto2 -L | more
There is no file in folder '/'.
There is no file in folder '/DCIM'.
There are 1027 files in folder '/DCIM/198CANON'.
