Thanks Gareth for your links, hope someone can provide a useful backtrace for K3B.
My personal experience led me to the conclusion that K3B doesn't not play well on some configurations, i have now burnt about 10-15 DVDs with gnomebaker without any issue so for me it is definitely related to K3B and the way it uses the drive. I can also confirm from my past experience that the best way to create such crashes is to burn using the K3B verify feature. Can someone with the problem confirm this trying gnomebaker or brasero instead of K3B ?
