Recent kernel updates made it work for me (ie. all te expected mixers an working sound) on 2.6.24-16-generic kernel. Strangely, it stopped working witm my old compiled kernel (no apparmor), but a new one with apparmor patches woks very well (2.6.24-16-generic break CPU frequency scalling for me).
