Binary package hint: kdebase
at upgrade using:
sudo apt-get update
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
system stopped install at option to see side by side comparison
after about five minutes and a couple attempts at a command line nothing
i closed out the session rebooting
at this time the upgrade was partially finished
trying to reload sources proved fatal in that there were not reloaded or
sourced
the errror : failed to fetch or failed to download or failed to reach
appeared in
each instance
so went to the terminal
and used the
dpkg --configure -a
this restarted the upgrade about 40 packages back because of missing
codecs
the upgrade was completed although at the bash screen again i simply
chose
install new package on second attempt
