Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gcalctool
The calculator doesn't seem to have a handle on significant figures, it displays a far greater level of precision in the result than warranted from the input values. For every value entered by the user, determine the total number of sig figs. Remember the highest sig fig level encountered and use that to format the precision of the result. i.e. 1 - 2 = -1 2.3 - 1 = 1.3 (not "1.300000000") 9.999 - 2 = 7.999 (not "7.999000000"); ** Affects: gcalctool (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Too many sig figs (1-2 = -1.000000000) !! https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/216420 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
