Public bug reported:

The improved integration of firefox and gnome in Hardy made me lose a
feature. Not sure if the problem is in firefox 3 or a gnome package.

Steps to reproduce
1. open a web page with a file selector (e.g. try to add a comment/attachment
to this issue).
2. the field representing the path to the local file is greyed out. It is not
possible to navigate to it using the keyboard
3. Copy paste a path in the field representing the path to the local file (e.g.
using middle click after selecting a path from the terminal, or CTRL+C).

What happens
Nothing is pasted

Expected
Paste works

Alternatives/related issues
3. try to type in the path by hand. This time a file selector pops-up

What happens
File selector opens

What I would like
To type by hand

Both use cases reduce my productivity:
* pasting should work
* opening the file selector and navigating is usually much slower than
typing/pasting e.g. /tmp/diff.txt
