Did you install hardy? I believe it is a known bug that when you install hardy it changes all the partition types on your machine to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/parted/+bug/187538. Part of this bug report is a duplicate of that bug, most likely. You can fix that by installing GParted and changing the partition type from there:
To install gparted: Open a terminal (Go to Applications->Accessories->Terminal) and type "sudo apt-get install gparted". After the installation is done type "gparted" and press enter. You can change the partition type from there. As for the audio. Bring up the alsa-mixer (Go to Applications->Accessories->Terminal) and type "alsa-mixer". Make sure that all the bars are all the way up in green and that no channels (tracks) are muted. You can use the 'M' key to toggle the mute mode. -- No audio after Ubuntu is installed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/215808 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
