Hi Tom, Per the kernel team's bug policy, can you please attach the following information. Please be sure to attach each file as a separate attachment.
* cat /proc/version_signature > version.log * dmesg > dmesg.log * sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log It also might be good to wait to capture your dmesg output until after you trigger the issue. Maybe some interesting logs will get written to help debug. I'm also curious what happens if you boot with the 'all_generic_ide' option. Not sure if it will help or not. For more information regarding the kernel team bug policy, please refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeamBugPolicies . Thanks again and we appreciate your help and feedback. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- [Hardy] Heavy I/O causes other processes to starve https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/205945 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
