Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gvfs
I recently reinstalled Ubuntu on my home machine. So when connecting to it from work through Places -> Connect To Server -> SSH, the gnome-panel freezes for about 10 seconds, then I get an error message saying "Timeout reached". I know it's because the RSA key was changed when I reinstalled Ubuntu at home because connecting from the terminal using the ssh command tells me the key is different from the known key and answering yes allows me to connect. The workaround for this is to delete or rename the file "~/.ssh/known_hosts", but Gnome should give you a proper message stating the key difference, rather than giving a timeout message. ** Affects: gnome-desktop (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: gvfs (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: gnome-desktop (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Connect To Server reports Timeout reached when connecting to an SSH host with a different RSA key https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/215700 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
