Bryce, I have tested it with your xorg.conf and the maximum resolution is still 800x600 and the usplash is still garbled. I know for a fact that this unit goes up to 1920 x 1440, yet with the current configuration (8.04 Daily + xserver-xorg-video-geode_2.8.0-5) I can't get resolution greater than 800x600 without going off screen. The standard set of resolution available through Monitor Resolution Settings is 800x600 and 640x480.
