Thanks for the logs Russ. You said installation was incomplete at the
time of writing. Could you let us know how it turned out and is there
any more information in the logs after the installation completes. The
earliest error I can see regarding libc6 is a broken dependency in
main.log
2008-04-09 07:13:53,854 ERROR got an error from dpkg for pkg:
'/var/cache/apt/archives/libc6-i686_2.7-10ubuntu3_i386.deb': 'pre-
dependency problem - not installing libc6-i686
