Public bug reported: I suspect this problem to be in network-manager or gnome-keyring.
Background information I had some default keyring problems so I deleted my keyring under .gnome2 directory. Since I have been having some strange issues. The system still asks me for a default keyring password, which I always Deny, and the system doesn't store wireless keys Symptoms: 1. log in or restore from hibernate 2. select wireless network using network manager key 3. popup appears to ask for default keyring password. Chose Deny or close window 4. enter wireless network key 5. popup appears again to ask for default keyring password. Chose Deny again. 6. wireless doesn't connect work-around repeat the whole section steps above and this time the connection happens. Expected: Connection happens from the first time. I also would like my password to be saved upon hibernate restore but this is less critical I tried this 4 times either from log in or hibernation and this always happened. Some differences in that sometimes the dialogs in steps 4 or 5 didn't appear. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- when not using a keyring password, network-manager fails to connect after log in or restore from hibernatino https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/214941 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
