I don't know if this will help to identify the problem or not, but I downloaded and compiled the stock 2.6.24.4 kernel from kernel.org and I have no problems with saa7134 or saa7134_alsa. When running the Ubuntu 2.6.24-15-generic I get the same problem as described in the bug name. Just figured I'd point that out. Sorry if that's useless info.
