Public bug reported:

I have a Thinkpad X61 with a dock containing a CDROM. I'm unable to hot dock.
The cdrom is recognized only if I boot with it. If I undock, the system
freezes.
System info:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# uname -a
Linux laptop 2.6.24-15-generic #1 SMP Tue Apr 8 00:33:51 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux

I read in a help forum that adding a module aciphp might help, but when I try
to do that, I get the following error:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# modprobe acpiphp
FATAL: Error inserting acpiphp
(/lib/modules/2.6.24-15-generic/kernel/drivers/pci/hotplug/acpiphp.ko): No such
device

I tried adding modules dock and cdrom, but that doesn't help. Dmesg logs tell
me that the dock/undock actions are recognized. It recognizes 4 usb ports.

I have attached lsmod outputs without the dock, after trying to hotdock
and booting with dock.

Please let me know if any further information is required.

Thanks.
