I don't think that this is much of a problem, since we do not update linux-meta until everything is available. People who want to live on the edge and install a newer kernel without matching lrm/lum have worse problems and also probably know what they are doing anyway (and are not likely the people who use jockey).
ATM it is not easy to integrate a warning like that, since it is a very special case and does not fit into jockey's architecture.
