Hi !!! I have the same problem.
I'm running [ 0.000000] Linux version 2.6.24-15-generic ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) (gcc version 4.2.3 (Ubuntu 4.2.3-2ubuntu7)) #1 SMP Tue Apr 8 00:33:51 UTC 2008 (Ubuntu 2.6.24-15.27-generic) and see crash message during the boot every time i start my Ubuntu. after the crash, the boot stops and I must login in console manually and then start GDM. but in this case Gnome reports can't initialize 'HAL'. arrrrrghhhh. do you have any ideas, how can I fix it ? dmesg in attachment. thank you. p.s. kernel 2.6.24-15-rt runs on this laptop better, but with similar error described in #214102 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/214102) ** Attachment added: "dmesg.log" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/13260890/dmesg.log -- BUG in kernel 2.6.24-7?
