The ChenMing's solution is very nice for me (either on desktop that laptop). I have changed only eth and gw's ip number:
# Add following lines to /etc/rc.local to setup a static ip address and default route. ifconfig eth0 192.168.0.20 route add default gw 192.168.0.10 After a simple restart it's all right! ;) -- Can't use static ip address with network-manager (and thus no VPN connections menu for static users) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/5364 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
