I've upgraded to the 2.6.24-14 kernel - still the same. When I hibernate, the screen turns off and the disks stop, but all the fans and lights stay on. And it doesn't resume.
Suspend-to-RAM behaves slightly differently. I can do one suspend-resume cycle, but it fails on the second attempt if I don't do a proper reboot in between. The failure behaves similar (screen goes off and disks stop, but fans and lights stay on). I've gone through the procedure in the wiki. I did one successful suspend-resume cycle, using the 'sync; echo 1 > /sys/power/pm_trace; /etc/acpi/sleep.sh force' command, and then I did a second one with the same command (which failed as expected). I had to hold the power button to switch the machine off and then reboot as normal. I've attached the dmesg output as requested, but it's flooded with 'attempt to access beyond end of device' messages (because I'm using DMRAID, see bug 106177), so I've also attached the relevant part of my kern.log (covering both suspend-resume cycles). -- Suspend to disk fails on Asus A8N-E https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/210543 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
