Yes, changed driver from nvidia to nv and it still happens... I did some more experimenting and I stopped acpid and closed the lid, it didn't crash, so I started it back up again, and the lid works properly. I restart the computer and its broken again. Restarting acpid and acpi-support after X is started seems to prevent it from crashing. It also produces this in Xorg.0.log: (WW) Open ACPI failed (/var/run/acpid.socket) (Connection refused)
So I looked at /var/log/acpid and it looks like lid.sh is returning with status 1 (which means failure?) a bunch of times? But the first couple of lid closes also return a 0, so I don't know what to make of it. I attached /var/log/acpid Any ideas of what to try to figure out why its failing? ** Attachment added: "/var/log/acpid" http://librarian.launchpad.net/4728555/acpid -- X crashes on lid events https://launchpad.net/bugs/64737 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
