I'm afraid any and all logs will be long gone now as I ended up downloading an ISO and doing a fresh install with that. This method also prevented the problem of having to rebuild ALSA for some reason.
I've also recently upgraded my work PC, but all packages downloaded without a problem so that won't be much use. It too however had a problem with ALSA, as well as one of my co-workers having the same problem - both requiring the ALSA modules to be rebuild from source. I have also noted that the upgrade ends up running the '386' version of the kernel, while a CD install runs the 'generic' version instead. -- Distribution upgarde does not stop on corrupt package https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/204718 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
