Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gscan2pdf
Using Ubuntu 8.04 beta gscan2pdf fails to import PDFs generated by OpenOffice and at least one PDF that I have that was apparently generated by Adobe. When importing oo_test.pdf no dialog prompting for page range is displayed and nothing is imported. This is the --debug output that is generated by the import operation: <snip> Importing /home/trjones/Desktop/oo_test.pdf Forked PID 15218 Format Portable Document Format Process 15218 exited. </snip> When importing HealthClaimForm2008.pdf a dialog box prompts for the page range (it correctly detects 3 pages as the default value for last page). I click OK, but nothing is imported. This is the --debug output that is generated: <snip> Importing /home/trjones/Desktop/HealthClaimForm2008.pdf Forked PID 15232 **** Warning: Font missing required Subtype, /Type1 assumed. **** Warning: Font missing required Subtype, /Type1 assumed. **** Warning: Font missing required Subtype, /Type1 assumed. **** Warning: Font missing required Subtype, /Type1 assumed. **** Warning: Font missing required Subtype, /Type1 assumed. **** Warning: Font missing required Subtype, /Type1 assumed. **** Warning: Font missing required Subtype, /Type1 assumed. **** Warning: Fonts with Subtype = /TrueType should be embedded.
